You can't change me
I drew more motorcycles and a cover for the third issue of my comic series!
I am the rock and you are the wind! I will bend when the sea calls me home.
I finished those motorcycle turnarounds JUST after the post last week, then went right along and finished the cover for the third installment of my beloved Anime Animay series. First! The turnarounds, finished.
These took a VERY long time to flat color. Astonishingly long. Or maybe it was just tedious? But the color adds a lot of personality. I purposefully made Cliffdiver more utilitarian looking while Pigfoot is aggressively flamboyant and decorative. Those are scoops on the back tire, just the thing for torquing around in loose terrain like soil or sand!
I also realized that it was important to put the riders on them for reference, including their contact points with the motorcycle, because all of these things have different seating positions and nothing would look dumber than one of these characters sitting on their bike wrong.
And the cover! Like the previous two, this was drawn first with a fountain pen and nib, then scanned and colored digitally.
Gonna be a lotta hootin’ and hollerin’.
I wish I had more juice for you this week but I’m mostly writing a script and wrapping up, so not much I can show you. Alas!
Next week we have an art program with the county, so I’m sure I’ll have a good selection of weird drawings that I have traumatized the children with.
Be good!
Even though I don't ride, I think your motorcycles are sick.
